Clothing — Migrants legally entering the U.S. and being processed in Tucson prior to departure to their sponsor location elsewhere in the US are needing clothing.  Specifically, each third Sunday of the month, MSPC gathers donated clothing and takes the donations to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church downtown for sorting before distribution at the new Casa Alitas welcome center.  For men — long pants, belts, shoes, tee shirts (non-partisan) in all sizes.  Note:  Male migrants are now predominantly coming from Muslim countries and India.  Thus, the size and stature of the men have changed from the prior males that predominantly came from Central America. For women — Blouses and tops, walking shoes, and new underwear.  Women are still predominantly coming from Central America and generally are shorter and need clothing of larger size.  For children — Clothing for all sizes and ages. General items needed, such as towels and diapers.

Used VanBridge Prison Ministry (BPM), an outreach ministry partner of Mountain Shadows, is looking for a 12+ passenger van to transport residents of Silas House and Paul House to activities and events.  BPM has funds to purchase a used van but is having trouble finding one.  If you are willing to donate or sell a used van, please contact BPM (520) 907-6987.
