Green Living Initiative

Hydrate yourself from a reusable canister/mug —

  • Stay hydrated by drinking from your personal, reusable canister/mug that you bring with you from home, or from one of the washable mugs available at Mountain Shadows.  If you use one of the church’s washable mugs hanging on the movable rack either in the Hospitality Room (Room #4) or under the ramada —
    • Select a mug that does not have another person’s name label.
    • After use, wash the mug in the sink in the Hospitality Room using water and soap and then rehang the mug on the movable rack.
  • Challenge yourself to use a reusable mug rather than one of the paper cups provided. Remember that the paper cup likely will end up in a landfill even if the cup is recyclable.

Recycle

Our “full” recycle bin for the month of June 2023
  • Discard your worship bulletin and other paper items in the recycle bin under the ramada.
  • You can help our church be a better steward of God’s environment both while at church and at home. In addition, you can feel good about reducing the carbon footprint and helping to care for God’s creation.
  • By signing up to take to the church’s recycle material to your home recycle container each month, you can help eliminate the need for a high emission recycle truck to make a special trip to the church. One less high emission truck on the road will help reduce the carbon footprint even further!

Secure on-line giving

  • This option is available at any time. In lieu of writing and mailing a check, this option does not require use of a stamp or envelop, nor does it require a vehicle to transport the mailed check to the church and to the bank. Please consider adding an extra 2 % to the total to help offset the processing fee.
